Awww...

Yesterday was my cousin's confirmation and at the party following it, the twins were sitting on the stairs to the second floor. H had a bowl of ice cream in her lap and was eating it, when she suddenly looked at C and asked her, "Want some?" while holding out the spoon to her. Priceless and definitely an awwww... moment.

Mamas get sick too...

Today I was feeling under the weather and little H and little C were so sweet. They kept coming back to the couch to check on me. H rubbed my sore arm, while C gave my forehead kisses. Just so sweet!

Just when I wanted to cry...

Today was a really tough day. Who was poopy, who was snotty, who was hungry, who was whining....the list goes on and on. But there was a light at the end of the tunnel, when H wrapped her arms around me and said, "Mama, I love-ah you!" Tears came to my eyes and the wonderment of life from the eyes of a 2.5 year old hit home. It is days like this that I will look back at with joyful rememberance - until the next whiny day hits me like a mack truck.

Who knew?

Many years ago someone told me that having three kids under three would be a handful. Not having kids at the time, I had no idea what that meant.

In 2004 we were blessed with the birth of our identical twin girls. This journey has been joyful, happy, and at times overwhelming. As a DINK couple, we never imagined the way our carefree life would change once they arrived. Since then the family has grown to include our one year old. Who knew that your heart could grow infinitely big with love?

This blog is our journey down life's road with twin toddlers and a little one to boot.

The girls initial reaction to our son, "Bye, bye Baby!" has changed for the better. They love him with their whole little hearts, but still don't know their limits as was witnessed today when I reminded them to be careful with the baby, and one responded, "Hey! It's just a hug!"
